Meritorious service as an officer recruiter at Navy Recruiting District Los Angeles from August 2016 to August 2019. Chief Osterday consistently performed his demanding duties in an exemplary and highly professional manner. As a nuclear propulsion officer recruiter, he submitted 33 academic pre-screens resulting in the attainment of four highly qualified nuclear engineer officers, to include one nuclear power instructor. Furthermore, demonstrating superb administrative abilities, he ensured the timely dissemination of over 400 Local Effective Accessions Delivery System records to over 32 officer recruiters, impressively increasing LEADS accessions by 50 percent in fiscal year 2019. Chief Osterday’s superior performance of his duties highlights the culmination of 20 years of honorable and dedicated service. By his noteworthy accomplishments, perseverance, and devotion to duty, Chief Osterday reflected credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
